Scans in seconds
Reads the NTFS Master File Table directly instead of walking folders, so an entire drive, millions of files, is mapped in seconds.
Hyperdrive is a fast disk space analyzer for Windows. It reads the NTFS Master File Table directly to scan a full drive in seconds, and can recover deleted files too.
Free for personal use Windows 10 & 11 · 64-bit
Reads the NTFS Master File Table directly instead of walking folders, so an entire drive, millions of files, is mapped in seconds.
Allocated sizes match what Windows itself reports, so the numbers you see are the space you actually reclaim.
A treemap turns your drive into blocks sized by real disk usage, so the space hogs jump out at a glance.
Search every file on the volume at once and combine complex filters to narrow millions of files down to exactly what you need, in seconds.
Deleted records still live in the MFT. Hyperdrive lists them and can restore what is still intact.
Group files your way. Define custom categories with your own rules to see at a glance which kinds of files are eating your space.
Most disk analyzers crawl your folders one by one. Hyperdrive reads the NTFS Master File Table directly, in a single pass over the drive's own index, so it maps millions of files in seconds instead of minutes.
For its fast full-drive scan, Hyperdrive reads the NTFS Master File Table directly, which needs raw volume access through a single Windows UAC prompt. You can also run it without admin rights - scanning still works, just more slowly.
Scanning is strictly read-only: Hyperdrive reads the drive's own index and never writes to the volume it is reading. Recovery writes only the files you explicitly select, to a destination you choose - pick a different drive, because writing to the source drive can overwrite the very data still waiting to be recovered. Keep backups of anything you cannot afford to lose - that is good practice with any tool that touches a disk.
When a file is deleted, its record usually lingers in the MFT until something overwrites it. Hyperdrive surfaces those records and restores the ones that are still intact, so the sooner you try, the better your chances.
64-bit Windows 10 and 11, on NTFS volumes including external drives. Support for other file systems may come later.
Not for personal use. At home Hyperdrive is free, with no feature limits and no time limit. A licence is required for any use in a business. You are welcome to buy one anyway to support development - it is the same licence, and it hides the support notice in the app.

If Hyperdrive saved you time at home, a licence pays for the work on it. It also hides the support notice in the app.
